Silencing Sam

Format: Hardcover, 335 pages
Genre: Suspense
Series: Riley Spartz #3

There are multiple plot lines unfolding in this book, and believe it or not, they do, somewhat, come together in the end.

When local gossip columnist Sam Pierce is found dead and local investigative journalist Riley Spartz is known to have had an angry dust-up with him, all fingers point toward her as the culprit. The problem, she did not do it and as she digs into his past, there are too many names on the chalkboard that could have. To add more complication, a headless corpse has shown up in town and someone is bombing the local wind turbines and those that have not been bombed have dead bats on the ground around them.

Minnesotans are usually a very nice bunch, but sometimes they can be pushed to their limit and that is where Riley finds herself. As she zeros in on the killer, her own life is on the line as she realizes what a news reporter will do for social media followers and ratings. Unfortunately, Riley does not want to play this game of cat and mouse. As the ultimate showdown takes place, Riley finds herself in the middle of what nightmares are made of.

As the last notes are played, if she had any questions about her future with ex-cop boyfriend Garnett, they may not have been fully answered, but at least he did get to meet her parents.
